Greater Metz is located at the centre of the 3 borders area (60 km from Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg). It is a metropolis with easy access, especially by TGV (High Speed Train) : 82 minutes from Paris Gare de l'Est and 70 minutes from Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport.
Luxembourg Findel International airport is 69 km from Metz, 50-minute drive.
Metz hosted the G7 Environment, Oceans and Energy Ministers meeting in 2019 thanks to its comitments in sustainability since several decades : easy access, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission are key objectives for the city.
